Waterville Homeless Shelter

The girls took a field trip last Monday to the Homeless Shelter to deliver needed items like toothpaste and toothbrushes.  We stayed and got a tour of the facility and learned about what is needed to keep an important place like this running.  The girls were great listeners during the tour.

Whoa! It's been too long!

Oh so sorry!  I can't believe how long it has been since I have posted.   Here are some pics of the girls working to complete their painting badges. Many of the girls brought a toy from home to draw and paint.  These came out very cute. Thanks to E. D.'s  mom for taking these photos and sending them along.

Today's Scout Meeting...1-18-13

     The girls worked on activities that will contribute to their painting badges. They had to paint words in colors that connected to the emotions of happiness, sadness, and anger.  The girls loved working with watercolors. Mrs. Hopper also read a cool book called One.  It had colors in it, but most importantly, it had a great message about standing up for someone who is being bullied.  Here are some pictures from today's meeting.

Girl Scout Cookie Time


The girls were pretty pumped to learn about the new mango creme cookie.  We played an energetic "get to know the cookies" game in the gym.  We then practiced how to sell cookies to people.
